Purpose:

At the Faculty of Law, Marwadi University, our mission is to turn our students into legal professionals who have ethical values, substantive knowledge, and practical skills so that they become effective advocates of justice and rule of law. We endeavour to become an institution of global excellence in legal education, training, and research for the advancement of law and justice.

Important features of our law course:

There are many law colleges in Rajkot and in Gujarat which offer law courses. But there are certain features which set us apart from them. These features make our law course more valuable and can help you get the best of the course. They are listed as below:

o   Emphasis on preparing professional law graduates

The course structure of the law course:

At the Faculty of Law, we offer two varied course structures in B. A., LL.B. (HONS.) and
B. COM ., LL.B. (HONS.). You can choose one as per your preference. They are stated as below:
  • 5 years’ law course in any discipline after class 12
  • 3-year law course after graduation in any discipline
f    We offer LL.M. programme which is a one-year degree program. This is useful for practicing lawyers as well as the students who are interested to build a career in teaching and research.

      Specialisations:

If an individual is truly interested in law course, then he/she will find limitless scope to satisfy their interests at the law college of our Marwadi University.

A few specialisations which we offer at our law college are listed below:
o   Corporate Law
o   Intellectual Property Rights Law

We also provide special training to the students based on their career choice.  They are also encouraged to join various courses on developing communication and critical thinking skills which are regularly held at our campus. In addition to this, we also offer courses in collaboration with leading National and International institutions.

In spite of all these aspects, our law college encourages students to take up a number of extra-curricular activities. We believe that these activities help our students to enhance their soft skills which create a major difference in the outside world.  For this, we have set up a Legal clinic and Meditation Centre to provide legal aid to the underprivileged sections of the society. The Centre is dedicated to bringing legal awareness among the people by conducting legal awareness camps. We also conduct NSS activities which work towards the upliftment of needy people.
