Having read about independence and the great Indian freedom movement in textbooks, many individuals are well-aware of the story which defines this struggle. But how many actually understand it? With Independence Day around the corner, it is a good idea to invest some time in understanding patriotism.

One doesn’t have to go through the tedious process of reading books. Use of technology is equally welcomed. Here’s how:

Read e-newspapers:

A good way to remain patriotic is to by being updated about the country with the newspapers. But yes, in the busy lives everyone leads, it is difficult to sit and read the newspaper every day. This causes a lack of awareness which further develops a lack of pride for the country. This is where technology can act as a game-changer. One can start reading e-newspapers. For those who don’t like reading, some e-newspapers also provide a sound option wherein the news is recited by the e-newspaper itself.  Also, many major newspaper firms have developed their applications. Thus, one can be assured that the news he/she is reading on these applications is completely authentic.

Apart from this, there are many applications which provide a gist of the news within a specified word-limit. Thus, one won’t have to read much to understand the value of patriotism.

Since the time Google has become popular, everyone has been using Google to get answers to their queries and clear one's doubts. So, why not use it to get a clear picture of the real fervour of Indian patriotism then? There are many websites which provide a lot of information on Indian history. And this is not only limited to the Indian free movement but also of the times way beyond it. Some websites even have interactive content which is created by using creative tools like infographics, interesting writing styles, and by lending authenticity to the content.
